DEEPER THAN SKIN

Her skin is branded
By the trauma she endured
If only she could wear clothes
That reveal, the real, that's so clearly, blurred

His life is his own
He's tatted with freedom of choice
Bright colors heralding the motto
"If you know, use your voice"

They have a mark that identifies
The herd of cattle on the train
The genocide of a nation
To a deceived world, is heaven's gain

As they tore his skin from his back
And his tendons and muscles lay bare
The price was deeper than any skin
MARK, upon the soul, so broken could be whole
..................in the middle of terror's snare
